MEGALITHIC STRUCTURES AT FALERA (SWITSERLAND)
Switzerlands largest,
most important megalithic site; the megaliths
here at Parc La Mutta Falera date back to the Bronze Age and the park is under archaeological protection. The site combines aspects of astronomy, mathematics and Bronze Age ritual worship.
This site reveals much of a work-in-progress that Celtic astronomy no doubt was with multiple methods for calendar determination, down to a monument documenting the solar eclipse of December 25, 1089 BCE.
Some of the engravings on the stones are up to 3,500 years old.
