SiTU Basics

by Jian, the crazy monk, SiTU

Use your imagination and think about the consequences of the military-industrial complex. Not on the weaponry but on the personal equipment. This lays a massive claim on resources and continous productivity.

Nazi-Germany produced (untill the end) millions and millions of uniforms (all different). Some to parade in, some to live in and some to fight in. Even in defeat, the German soldiers wore standard uniforms, with standard helmets and standard boots. Millions of each (belts and underware) had to be made. That's a lot of wool, metal and leather (cows). And needs careful planning, preparation and production. A lot of people (mainly slave labor) were needed. In the Wehrmacht alone, hundreds of different uniforms were worn), in the Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe as well.

Germany suffered millions of casualties, who needed to be replaced and the new soldiers needed new uniforms, belts, helmets and underwear.

It's collosal.

Try to imagine how many resources are needed, just to maintain the armies we have, global. A lot of underwear.
